Invitation/Announcement

We are pleased to announce the organization of the 29th Annual PAASE Meeting and Symposium (29APAMS) which will be held at the Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights, Quezon City, July 13-15, 2009. The theme for 29APAMS is:

Linking Science & Engineering to Development

The 29APAMS aims to promote greater participation of researchers with the priority areas of the Philippines, and closer collaboration among researchers both within the country and outside.

29APAMS will feature:

Technical presentations on focused R&D areas.
A special session on Nanotechnology for the Philippines
Contributed oral and poster papers on open topics
Session with industry.

As defined by the Congressional Commission on Science, Technology and Engineering (COMSTE), the areas of R&D focus include:

Energy and Environment
Electronics and Semiconductors
IT and IT-Enabled Industries
Health Sciences
Agriculture and Food
Education (Science, Mathematics, Engineering)
 
Call for Papers

The 29APAMS National Organizing Committee welcomes oral and poster papers for presentation at the 29th Annual PAASE Meeting and Symposium. In line with the theme and objectives of 29 APAMS, we wish to encourage presentations which encourage collaboration to address the areas of R&D focus.


Abstracts must be submitted to technical papers committee as a word or pdf file using the following format: 


Page dimensions: 8” × 11” (letter size) with 1” margins on all sides
Title of the paper: Should be in bold, capital letters and centered.
Name(s) of author(s) and address(es): Should be centered and written immediately below the title.  The name of the presenting author should be underlined.
Text: Times New Roman font, single spaced justified paragraphs

Abstracts may be submitted on line together with the accomplished registration form to the Secretariat at 29APAMS@admu.edu.ph.

Notification of acceptance: May 15, 2009
Deadline for early registration: May 29, 2009
Deadline for tour sign-up: June 29, 2009
